Ace Ventura: Pet Detective stars Jim Carrey and Courteney Cox. In this movie, Carrey plays Ace
Ventura, a special kind of detective who only solves cases of missing animals in the Miami, FL area,
because he is an animal lover (his apartment is even filled with animals, which he keeps hidden from
his landlord). His biggest case in the movie is a missing dolphin named Snowflake, who happens to be
the Miami Dolphins' mascot. Ace teams up with Dolphins employee Melissa Robinson (Cox) to find
Snowflake. Along the way to finding Snowflake, Ace finds himself at a heavy metal concert, a rich
man's party, alongside Dolphins football players themselves at practice, and at a mental
institution, among other places. He also discovers a former Dolphins field goal kicker named Ray
Finkle is somehow behind Snowflake's disappearance.
