American Wedding is the follow-up to
American Pie 2 and stars Jason Biggs, Allison
Hannigan, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Seann William Scott, and January Jones. This
movie finds Jim Levenstein (Biggs) and Michelle Flaherty (Hannigan) getting ready for marriage.
Jim makes his long time friends, Kevin (Nicholas) and "Finch" (Thomas), groomsmen. However, he
leaves Steve Stifler (Scott) off the list, but Stifler finds out about the wedding and he is
upset that he was not invited. Jim, meanwhile, is nervous about several things, including
finding the right wedding dress, convincing Michelle's parents that he's fit for her, and being
able to dance at his wedding. Finch finds out, by spying, that the dress Michelle wants is made
by a designer in Chicago, and Jim, Kevin, Finch, and Stifler go to Chicago to track "her" down
(although they find out that "she" is a he). Their journey leads them into a gay bar, where Jim
finds out Stifler can dance. Jim then asks Stifler to teach him to dance, and Stifler agrees on
on the condition that he be invited to the wedding.
