Anger Management stars Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson. In this movie, Dave Buznik
(Sandler) is the typical pushover. For one thing, he lets his employer take credit for his
ideas while he gets nothing in return. Also eating Dave is the fact that his girfriend's best
friend is her ex from college, whom Dave secretly fears may try to steal her back. Near the
beginning of the movie, Dave boards a flight to St. Louis, when he and a flight attendant get
into a fight over a headset, and Dave is ordered to take anger management therapy as a result.
Dave's anger management therapist, Dr. Buddy Rydell (Nicholson), gets extensively involved in
Dave's life by living with him, following him around everywhere (even to work), tormenting him,
and humiliating him in public. At one point in the movie, it even appears as though Buddy is
trying to steal Dave's girlfriend away from him. However, there is a method to Buddy's madness:
Buddy believes Dave's anger is of the "implosive" type - the type of anger in which one holds
it in for too long, until one day one explodes in a super display of rage. Buddy's plan is to
try to get Dave to express his anger in a healthy way whenever necessary.
