Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey is the follow-up to
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and stars Alex Winter, Keanu Reeves, Sarah Trigger, Annette Azcuy, Joss Ackland, and William
Sadler. Winter and Reeves, respectively, once again play the title characters, who along with their respective girlfriends from Medieval England, Joanne (Trigger) and
Elizabeth (Azcuy), comprise the San Dimas, CA based band the Wyld Stallyns. While Joanne and Elizabeth are skilled on their instruments, Bill and Ted still don't know how to
play theirs. Meanwhile, in 2691, Chuck DeNomolos (Ackland) wants a society torn by war and violence, and he believes he can accomplish this by going back to 1991 (when the
Wyld Stallyns are set to perform on "Battle of the Bands"), killing Bill and Ted, and replacing them with evil robots. The robots do succeed at first, but Bill and Ted are
brought back to life after defeating the Grim Reaper (Sadler) at various board games. The three come up with their own plan to defeat the evil robots - build good robot
versions of themselves. They do this with the help of the best scientist in the universe, a Martian known as Station. Just as the evil robots are about to give DeNomolos'
speech to the world at the Battle of the Bands, not to mention kill Joanne and Elizabeth, Bill, Ted, Station, and the Grim Reaper show up and succeed in killing the evil
robots. DeNomolos himself then travels back in time to the concert and delivers his speech of a future based on only his ideas, only to be taken down by the duo as well.
Bill and Ted then travel back in time to learn how to play guitar, and the Wyld Stallyns then put on one hell of a show, with Death and Station joining the band as well.
