Freddy Got Fingered stars Tom Green, Rip Torn, and Marisa Coughlan. This movie focuses on
the crazy antics of Gordon Brody (Green), a twenty-eight year old slacker/animator who still
lives in his parents' basement. At the beginning of this movie, it appears Gordon is finally
getting his life together: he moves out of his parents' home and to Hollywood in order to work
in a cheese factory. However, he is really going to Hollywood to try to sell his cartoons. He
is disappointed though, when he meets with an animation studio executive who tells him his
characters suck, although he is a really good drawer. Gordon is also informed that if he quits
his job at the cheese factory to concentrate on his cartoons 24/7, he could come up with a
great cartoon. Gordon follows this advice, which means he moves back to his parents' home. This
upsets his father, Jim (Torn), and Jim tries his hardest to get Gordon back out - Jim and
Gordon have a feud throughout much of the movie. At one point, it seems Gordon has had it and
he takes a job selling sub sandwiches, but he is inspired by his new handicapped girlfriend,
Betty (Coughlan), whom he met in a hospital. Betty also has a crazy dream - to invent a rocket
powered wheelchair. Betty eventually accomplishes her dream, and Gordon keeps at his drawings
until he creates characters and a story that does sell (Gordon's feud with his father also
fuels his successful cartoon).
