Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle stars John Cho and Kal Penn, respectively, as the
title characters. In this movie, Harold is an investment banker, and Kumar is a medical school
candidate. Both characters are stoners in their twenties. One night, the two get the munchies,
and they desire to have "something they haven't had in a while." They then see an ad for White
Castle, and they crave White Castle burgers so bad, they make it a quest to eat one no matter
what. However, it is not so easy for them, as the White Castle nearby has closed since the last
time they ate there, and they must find another one, as apparently, White Castles are few and
far between in the area where they live. To make things more interesting, the two do not have
very good luck that night. For one thing, they encounter a racoon that bites Harold. They also
get car trouble, as Harold accidentally runs their car off the road (but are lucky enough to
have it repaired by a kind person with deformities) and have their car stolen by Neil Patrick
Harris (aka, Doogie Howser). Harold also gets arrested unjustly and gets his laptop, which had
contained important files for his job, destroyed when the two take a ride on a cheetah. The two
have other distractions as well, but nevertheless, they press on until they taste their
precious White Castle burgers.
