Liar Liar stars Jim Carrey, Maura Tierney, and Justin Cooper. In this movie, Fletcher
Reede (Carrey) is a fast talking lawyer, workaholic, and habitual liar. Fletcher's lifestyle
has already cost him his marriage to Audrey (Tierney), and he is also constantly disappointing
his son, Max (Cooper). Fletcher always keeps getting held up at work, but he keeps lying as to
why he cannot visit Max when he says he will. When Fletcher does not show up at Max's birthday
party, Max makes a wish that Fletcher cannot lie for twenty-four hours. Much to Fletcher's
dismay, it actually comes true. This cannot have come at a worse time, as he has to prove in
court that a woman did not commit adultery, and it seems the only way to do so is to lie.
Further complicating things, Audrey may have found someone named Jerry to marry, and Jerry has
to move far away from Fletcher to accept a hospital administrator job, meaning that Fletcher
will never be able to see Max again. Fletcher must do everything in his power to keep both Max
and his job, using only the truth! Hilarity ensues.
