Me, Myself, and Irene stars Jim Carrey, Renee Zellweger, Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee,
and Jerod Mixon. In this movie, Rhode Island State Police trooper Charlie Baileygates (Carrey)
has a problem with letting people walk all over him. This problem dates back to a time when his
wife left him for a black midget, after leaving him three kids (Anderson, Brownlee, Mixon), of
which the midget is the biological father. Charlie keeps the kids and he loves them, but his
police work is suffering as of late. Everything goes wrong when Charlie is pushed around one
time too many, and his alter ego, Hank, comes out. Hank does not take anything from anybody,
and he very rudely and aggressively confronts things head on. Charlie finds out he has
dissociative identity disorder and is ordered to take a week's vacation, after escorting
someone named Irene (Zellweger) to upstate New York on some bogus charges. Later, Irene finds
out that her life is in danger, and she seeks help from Charlie. Meanwhile, Charlie is
supposed to take some medication once every six hours, but he accidentally leaves it behind,
and Hank re-appears while with Irene. Hank also threatens to take over Charlie compeletely if
Charlie does not learn to stand up for himself. Further complicating things, law enforcement
agents are also part of the conspiracy against Irene, so Charlie cannot simply go to any local
police for help, as Irene cannot trust anyone. However, Charlie's sons, now in their senior
year of high school, go along with the corrupt law enforcement officials to locate Charlie, and
they take matters into their own hands when they rightfully suspect the agents are corrupt. It
is up to Charlie, "Hank," and Charlie's sons to keep both Charlie and Irene alive.
