Road Trip stars Breckin Meyer, Seann William Scott, Paulo Costanzo, DJ Qualls, Tom Green,
and Amy Smart. The movie begins with student Barry Manilow (Green) giving a tour of the
fictional University of Ithaca in the state of New York. Barry then tells the story of fellow
Ithaca student Josh Parker (Meyer). Josh had a girlfriend, Tiffany, before coming to Ithaca,
which grew out of frienship going back to elementary school. Josh and Tiffany are committed to
a long distance relationship (Tiffany went to veterinary school in Austin, TX). However, one of
Josh's other friends, E.L. (Scott), convinces Josh to pursue other girls, and Josh attends a
college party that night, as he is also in danger of failing philosophy and having to leave
college, so he figures, "What the hell?" At the party, E.L. auctions off college girls, and one
of them is named Beth (Smart). Beth has a crush on Josh, but is also the obsession of teaching
assistant Jacob. Jacob is at the same party, and Beth asks Josh to outbid outbid him, which he
does. Josh and Beth get intimate that night, and Beth videotapes it. The next morning, Josh
finds his roommate Ruben (Costanzo) accidentally mailed the Beth tape to Tiffany. To prevent
Tiffany from seeing the tape, Josh, E.L, Rubin, and other fellow student Kyle (Qualls) plan a
road trip to Austin using Kyle's car. Along the way, they destroy Kyle's car, steal a bus from
a blind chick, visit a black fraternity (neither of the four are black), and sell semen, among
other things. Each one of the four also has an epiphany during the journey to Texas.
