Role Models stars Seann William Scott, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Bobb'e J. Thompson,
and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. In this movie, Wheeler (Scott) and Danny (Rudd) are two salesmen
for an energy drink, Minotaur. The two usually travel to different schools and promote Minotaur
as a way to keep kids off drugs. While Wheeler loves his job, Danny hates it and also has a
negative outlook on life. Danny really goes overboard one day when Beth (Banks), his girlfriend
of seven years, dumps him due to his negative attitude, and he drives the Minotaur truck into a
statue. Wheeler is linked to this crime as well, and the two are first sentenced to thirty days
in prison. However, Beth, who is their lawyer as well, manages to change their sentence to
thirty days of community service; specifically, they must each log 150 hours of time serving as
"big brothers" in a program called Sturdy Wings. Wheeler is paired with Ronnie Shields
(Thompson), and Danny is paired with Augie Farks (Mintz-Plasse). At first, Wheeler and Danny
find their tasks extremely difficult, as Ronnie is so rough that no other "big" will work with
him, while Augie is obsessed with L.A.I.R.E. (Live Action Interactive Role-playing Explorers), which
is a medieval live action role playing game. However, as time goes on, the two "bigs" bond with
their "littles." Ronnie bonds with Wheeler through Wheeler's interest in the band Kiss and by
obsessing about breasts; Danny actually bonds with Augie through his live-action role playing
games, which Danny comes to enjoy after trying them. However, when they are only a mere eleven
hours away from completing their sentence, both guys screw up big. Danny goes wrong when he
gets into a fight with the "king" of L.A.I.R.E. and causes himself and Augie to be permanently
banned from L.A.I.R.E.; Danny also fights with Augie's parents when they criticize his interests.
Meanwhile, Wheeler leaves Ronnie alone unsupervised at a party so Wheeler can have sex with
another guest, causing Ronnie to walk home alone. Wheeler, Danny, Ronnie, and Augie find they
must all work together if Wheeler and Danny want to avoid prison, which could cost them their
jobs.
