Saving Silverman stars Jack Black, Steve Zahn, Jason Biggs, Amanda Peet, and Amanda
Detmer. In this movie, J.D. McNugent (Black), Wayne Lefessier (Zahn), and Darren Silverman
(Biggs) are three long time best friends and big Neil Diamand fans - they even have their own
cover band, known as Diamonds in the Rough. However, their friendship and band is threatened
when Darren meets Judith Fessbegler (Peet), who becomes Darren's girlfriend and ends up
controlling Darren's life. Judith does not like J.D. and Wayne at all, so she forbids Darren to
see those two and tries to get more high class people such as lawyers and CPA's to be Darren's
new friends. J.D. and Wayne try to get Darren back by bribing Judith, arm wrestling Judith, and
sending Judith fake photos of Darren cheating on her, all to no avail. Just when all hope seems
to be lost, Sandy Perkiss (Detmer), Darren's old flame from high school, comes back to town to
become a nun, but Darren had already agreed to marry Judith. As a final attempt to win Darren
back, J.D. and Wayne kidnap Judith, attempt to convince Darren that Judith is dead, and try to
set up Darren with Sandy before it's too late.
