Wedding Crashers stars Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn, Christopher Walken, Rachel McAdams,
Isla Fisher, and Bradley Cooper. In this movie, John Beckwith (Wilson) and Jeremy Grey (Vaughn)
are lifelong friends and business partners in divorce mediation. They are also single men who
crash weddings to meet women, every time using a cover story (they do not reveal their real
names) and following a set of rules about crashing weddings originating from the "legendary"
crasher Chazz Reinhold. The "wedding of the year" they crash is that of the daughter of the
Secretary of the Treasury William Cleary (Walken) and his wife, Kathleen. John and Jeremy use
the story of them being venture capitalists for purposes of meeting women. John sets his sights
on bridesmaid Claire (McAdams), while Jeremy goes for bridesmaid Gloria (Fisher), who are
also daughters of William Cleary. Gloria immediately becomes infatuated with Jeremy, they have
sex on a nearby beach, and Gloria claims she's kept her virginity up to that point. John is
unsuccessful with Claire right away because she already has a boyfriend: Ivy League graduate
Zach (Cooper), who doesn't appear to really care about Claire and seems to only wants to marry
her to advance his political career. Gloria invites John and Jeremy to come with the Clearys to
their family compound. John still wants to get close to Claire, so he convinces a reluctant
Jeremy to accept the invitation with him. For a while, it appears John is succeeding in getting
Claire to love him, but it eventually fails when Zach finds out he and Jeremy are really
wedding crashers. As for Jeremy, he fights off Gloria's advances at first, but he grows to love
her, after coming to the conclusion that Gloria may be messed up in the head, but he is too, so
they should be together. It is also Jeremy that accidentally let the secret slip. While Gloria
is still in love with Jeremy despite the lie, Claire renounces her feelings for John and
decides to accept Zach's earlier marriage proposal. Jeremy and John are asked by William to
leave his property, and they do, but John does not give Claire up without a fight. He plans to
infiltrate Claire and Zach's engagement party disguised as a waiter and asks Jeremy to go along
with him. Jeremy does agree to it at first, but he does not show up at the party and elopes
with Gloria instead. John ends up getting beat up by Zach and his friends and has a falling out
with Jeremy after this. Jeremy eventually becomes engaged to Gloria and asks John to be his
best man at their wedding, but John refuses and he seeks Chazz as a new wedding crashing
partner. It turns out Chazz really loves to crash funerals because, according to him, "Grief is
nature's most powerful aphrodisiac." After John's first (and only) funeral crash, he has an
epiphany after seeing the widow of the deceased, and he later reconciles with Jeremy by showing
up at his wedding after all. John also successfully convinces Claire not to marry Zach as well,
and Claire decides to enter into a relationship with John instead.
